Peace and love, anyone?

Anyone for some peace and love?

Heard the one about the man who walked into a Biggles book? His boss was a former Battle of Britain fighter pilot and famous adventurer, just like the fictional Biggles, and he ended up in a real-life war.

That’s the story of my book Tigger and the Tantric Princess, which has just been published. It looks like a Biggles book, it sort-of reads like one, but in other ways it’s like no Biggles book you ever read – and not just because of that tantric princess.

It’s a singing book in the sense that it is written around a streamable album of songs sung by a hippy called Henry. And Biggles gets a mention only as a specimen hero.

It’s about heroes and war, and a lot else, and it’s set largely in the hippy India of 1972. Think Biggles and the hippies, and you get the idea.

With war breaking out in all directions, it could hardly be more topical. It offers no answers to the wars. But it does offer a vision of a world without them.

Currently the quickest way to get the book is from Amazon, priced £11.99, or £5.99 for the ebook, though it can be ordered from stores. The album can be found at all major music sites.

His war on Ukraine got me recording the first song I'd written in years. One of Henry's is just as relevant.
